Mashed Potatoes, Perfected

Ingredients

  • Potatoes   (5 lbs)
  • Butter softened, up to 12 tbsp (170g) to taste   (½ cup)
  • Cream Cheese softened   (8 oz)
  • Half and Half   (½ cup)
  • Lawry's Seasoned Salt   (1 tsp)
  • Black Pepper   (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes. After peeling, rinse them under cold water

  2. Chop the potatoes into quarters so that they cook more quickly and evenly

  3. Boil a large pot of water and toss in the potatoes. Let them cook for about 30 minutes.

  4. Drain the potatoes and put them back into the pot on the stove

  5. Turn the burner on low and begin to mash the potatoes with, you guessed it, a potato masher.

  6. Turn off the stove

  7. Add the butter, cream cheese, and half & half

  8. Mash it again, until everything is combined nicely

  9. Add the Lawry’s and the pepper, and mash again!
