Ingredients
- Fully cooked, spiral-sliced smoked ham (10–12 lb) (1)
- Orange juice (1 cup)
- Butter, melted (¼ cups)
- Hot honey, for brushing
Sugar Crust
- Granulated sugar (½ cups)
- Brown sugar (1 cup)
- Lawry's seasoned salt (½ tsp)
- Onion powder (½ tsp)
- Cinnamon (1 tsp)
- Nutmeg (½ tsp)
- Ground cloves (½ tsp)
- Ground ginger (½ tsp)
- Sweet paprika (½ tsp)
- Ground allspice (¼ tsp)
Glaze
- Apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp)
- Dijon mustard (1 tbsp)
Instructions
Prep: Preheat oven to 275°F. Place ham flat-side down on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour orange juice into the bottom of the pan.
Warm Ham: Mix melted butter with hot honey. Brush over ham, including between slices. Cover loosely with foil. Bake 10 minutes per pound.
Add Sugar Crust: Mix all sugar crust ingredients. Remove foil and coat ham generously, including between slices. Reserve 3 tbsp pan drippings.
Broil: on high for 5 minutes until caramelized.
Make Glaze: Combine the reserved ham drippings, remaining sugar mixture, vinegar, and mustard. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Final Broil: Drizzle glaze over ham. Broil 2 minutes.
Serve: Rest briefly, then serve warm.
